lyrics
allgemein, ich weiss nicht, was ich weiss
ja, das stimmt
hanging out with you, it might be nice
wenn wir deutsch spricht
wir würden nicht verstehen, was wir sagen,
obwohl du sagst, was du meinst
ängstlich bin ich, wenn ich bin mit dir
weil du bist
klug genug, zu wissen, dass mein Verben
sind total gemischt
"mist" sage ich und wünsche, dass ich sagte
überhaupt nichts
eins, zwei, drei, fear
is not an excuse, it's a reality
elf, zwölf, dreizehn
you drive me insane my dear
with these things that you say, like
you're mad at me for things i did five years ago
you tell me all this shit that i don't need to know
it takes me to a place that i don't wanna go
don't want to, don't need to go
texten ist sehr nett, weil ich zeit hab'
zu erdenken
spitze witze/fotos, davon ich
abhängen
anderenfalls, erleide ich von untätigkeit
is it 99 luftballoons or 99 bottles of beer on the wall
which one's it gonna be?
if you gave me 98 of something else, i'd probably take it
because you're still the one
yeah you're the one for me
L.A.'s Smokescreens recall the moment when post-punk transformed into indie pop on their David Kilgour-produced full-length. Bandcamp New & Notable Sep 3, 2020

I have several problems with a member of this band, so I'm disinclined to like this album. However, exceptional music speaks for itself, and this album really is exceptional, from the guitar work to the vocals to the production. As painful as it is for me to write these words, this is among the best releases of the year and firmly belongs in the collection of anyone who cares about contemporary indiepop. Michael Feck
